Finance Analyst
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 3 – 7 years
Role:
Working within the Data Analytics team and assisting with the financial data analysis to carry out the analysis on P&L and performance reports
Responsibilities:
- Perform data analysis on P&L reports of various business units & countries to a defined standard
- Carry out analysis to a defined standards & processes for multiple business unit, countries and suppliers
- Set up templates that will be required to present the financial analysis
- Develop and improve standards & processes for carrying out analysis on multiple business units countries and suppliers
- Work with teams globally to gather financial data and build a repository of financial data
- Monitor and report against key performance indicators, performance targets and trend data across relevant business units
BAU Activities:
- Carry out checks for data integrity
- Carry out financial analysis of the data including relevant reconciliation process
- Present performance against budgets and other targets
- Prepare monthly Supplier Performance Metrics
- Production & Presentation of detailed cost information for key stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies, financial procedures and other controls
- Ensure integrity of data including accuracy/completeness of data
Preferred Industry/Experience:
- Preferred experience from financial services or minimum working in finance divisions (3-5yrs)
- Prior experience of financial analysis – essential
Skills:
- Essential-Excellent working knowledge of MS-excel such as Pivots, Lookups and small routine macros
- Essential-Ability to manipulate Excel data for performance reporting incl. use of KPIs and other trend data
- Essential-Must have – Good communication skills, flexibility and ability to work with teams across multiple locations
- Desirable-MS PowerPoint, good working knowledge of integrating excel data into PowerPoint
- Desirable-Working knowledge of MS-access, not an expert or not a MS-access programmer
Qualification
Finance/commerce graduate with IT skills
